What are some good techniques for preparing my datafeed?

Pricefalls can accept a variety of datafeed column formats. To avoid missing information, we recommend sellers use the column headers within the Pricefalls Listing Template.

You may also choose to use a predefined format from another shopping engine. Acceptable datafeed formats are:

  • Custom Format
  • Pricefalls
  • Bing Shopping
  • Google Shopping
  • Nextag
  • Pricegrabber
  • Share a Sale
  • Shopzilla
  • The Find

*If you are using one of the predefined formats, column headers are predefined in the “Feed Mapping” step of integration. If you choose to use a “Custom Format”, you will be able to select a column from your feed for each of the required Pricefalls column labels.

Your datafeed must be provided in a comma-separated values (CSV) file format, or as a tab-delimited (TXT) text file.

Within the first row of your datafeed, each column should contain a descriptive and unique column label. Every row must contain exactly one product. A custom datafeed does not need to have Pricefalls’ column label naming conventions, but keep in mind that you will need to identify each column by its header when completing the “Feed Mapper”.

Datafeeds that exceed a file size of 10Mb must be provided as a compressed file, using Zip or Gzip compression. If your datafeed exceeds 10mb, or 100,000, please contact your Pricefalls account representative for listing approval.
