Product Marketing & Performance Data Reviews

Automatic Disapprovals Due to Policy Violations

Some of your products have been disapproved by our marketing channels. This is different from a disapproval on the Pricefalls marketplace due to product restrictions. Your products are still listed on Pricefalls, but are not being properly marketed at this time due to marketing policies.

Action Required: Please review the products for any actual restrictions. If the products fall under the Pricefalls restricted products policy they will need to be removed from the marketplace entirely.

MS Follow-up: If you have reviewed the products and feel that they have been incorrectly disapproved, please contact Merchant Support to have a representative review getting this disapproval reviewed and potentially reversed.

Incorrect/Invalid/Insufficient GTIN or Product Identifiers

Some of your products are not provided with the correct, or not provided with any, product identifiers. Product identifiers include SKUs, UPCs, and MPNs. We require a SKU and UPC on all products, and MPNs are highly recommended if they are available.

Action Required: Review your products to ensure that every product has the correct SKUs, UPCs, and MPNs listed on the Pricefalls listings and add any data that is missing or incorrect. Make sure that if you are uploading via a datafeed, that any missing data is included there.

MS Follow-Up: Once you have fixed any incorrect or missing data, please notify a Merchant Support representative so that they can push the new data to our marketing channels.

Missing GTIN for Designated Brands

Some of your products are listed with a bestselling brand, and therefore require a UPC and optionally an MPN. Please see this list of Designated Brands.

Action Required: Review your inventory and add UPCs and MPNs to any products that are listed as a Designated Brand. Make sure that if you are uploading via a datafeed, that any missing data is included there.

MS Follow-Up: Once you have fixed any incorrect or missing data, please notify a Merchant Support representative so that they can push the new data to our marketing channels.

Invalid or Generic Images and Low Image Quality

Some of your products are listed with either no image or a default and generic image. In some cases this refers to an image that is blurry or bland. This could be due to an upload error (products provided with no image wouldn’t normally list) or by placing a “No Image”, “Image Unavailable”, or “Image Coming Soon” placeholder. In some cases this refers to a basic brand logo being put in place of the main product image.

Action Required: Review your inventory and change the images using the edit product feature, or speak with a Pricefalls representative to have new images processed for you via datafeed. Due to the heavy load image processing places on the marketplace, we do not allow sellers to reprocess their own images in bulk at this time.

Invalid Attributes and Unrecognized Attributes

The marketing channels used by Pricefalls occasionally spot cases where the provided Attribute does not match what value would be expected in the field. This most prominently includes, but is not limited to, Color, Size, and Image URL. In these cases, it is best to review the details being provided in your listing, and in some cases check your Datafeed Mapping to ensure that the correct data is going to the correct place.

Action Required: Review your upload settings and listings to ensure that the data provided is correct. Make sure that dining tables are not being sent over with shirt sizes, and things of that nature. Check color data to ensure that it matches with what is provided in the image, and check that your image is properly uploaded and not missing.

MS Follow-Up: Should you identify the issue, but have trouble resolving it, please contact our Merchant Support team so that they can assist you in correcting the error.

Missing Shipping Data (Weight, Dimensions)

Some of your products appear to be missing details required by marketing to properly submit your products, including weights, dimensions, and similar data. In many cases, regardless of the type of shipping you use and pay for, certain products require these details to be marketed.

Action Required: Review your product data and ensure that shipping details are provided for all products. If you are unable to provide your own shipping data, contact the manufacturer or vendor where you source your products from and they should be able to assist you. If you are not able to provide shipping data in any form, then simply close down the listings as they are unable to be marketed without that data.

Long Titles and Capitalized Titles

The marketing channels used by Pricefalls only use the first 70 characters of your title for advertisements on websites and search engines. This error is simply a warning sent to notify you that your products go over this 70 character limit.

If the title is all capitalized (LIKE THIS) then our marketing channels will also flag this issue for review. In cases of capitalized titles, please submit your products in Title Case (Titles Submitted Like This).

Recommended Action: Review your product titles and ensure that they are either 70 characters or less, or that the first 70 characters of your titles contain the most important product details, and remove any unnecessary capitals. Make sure that if you are uploading via a datafeed, that any changed data is included there.

Once you have fixed any incorrect or missing data, please notify a Merchant Support representative so that they can push the new data to our marketing channels.
